My journey with animals started when i was around 6 and believe it or not i was terrified of any furry four legged friends! mainly dogs and still to this day i cant figure out why that was as i have never had a bad experience … and then one day it all changed, my brother brought a poor sickly puppy home and it was made my decision as to whether we kept her. I had to feed and nurse her back to health and since then i have always loved caring for my own pets and helping others with theirs.
I started riding at around 11 and then went on to get my first horse at the age of 21. The next 18 years i owned a dog and two horses which sadly by May 2018 i had lost them all to old age or illness but my healing skills definitely helped in keeping them happy, comfortable and having a peaceful passing from the physical world.
I have experienced falls, injuries for the horses and myself and also bereavement which is why I can relate with my clients as on some level i have possibly experienced similar emotions to what they may be going through. The Positive is … when your ready for change, as i was, it happens quickly and easily!
I feel the great thing about animals is that they are a great support system if you treat them with the same respect which is pretty cool!
“I call my horses ‘divine mirrors’—they reflect back the emotions you put in. If you put in love and respect and kindness and curiosity, the horse will return that.” –Allan Hamilton
